A Radical Act of Joyful Rebellion
On February 22, 2025, before the first light of day, a fearless group of women and non-binary people will gather at a secret London location to strip away society’s expectations—literally and figuratively. The Reclaiming Our Bodies Guerrilla Group Nude Photo Project is more than a photoshoot. It’s a vibrant act of resistance, a celebration of radical self-love, and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to reclaim your body on your own terms. All brought to life by photographer Luana Martignon.

Step Into Your Power
In a world that constantly dictates how we should look, dress, and behave, this project is a defiant, joyful statement: our bodies belong to us. Dreamt up and led by visionary photographer Luana Martignon, this is your opportunity to stand tall, embrace yourself, and be part of a breathtaking visual movement that demands to be seen and heard. This ethos is something which Luana stands for in all areas of her work - from charities to personal 'Intimate Portraits' supporting people's personal growth.

Meet the Artist: Luana Martignon
For Luana, she turned her lens into a tool for healing, empowerment, and self-acceptance. Having battled body image struggles herself, she understands the deep impact of learning to see yourself through a kinder, more loving lens.
“My journey has taught me that photography can be a portal to self-love,” says Martignon. “Our bodies tell incredible stories, and every single one deserves to be honored.” This level of compassion and awareness of people's lived experiences is something that Luana transforms into a artful journey of feeling seen and shedding layers of the past.

Why This Project? Why Now?
Last year’s project focused on sexual assault awareness (pictured below) organised by Lauren Crooke. This laid the seed of inspiration for this year's shoot with an even bigger message: BODY AUTONOMY. This is a rallying cry against a world that seeks to police, regulate, and shame our bodies. Together, we’ll celebrate our right to:
Make our own choices about our bodies, including reproductive rights
Give and withdraw consent freely and without coercion
Monetize our bodies if we so choose
Dress or undress without fear of violence or judgment
Be heard and respected when we speak about our own physical experiences
Despite efforts to secure a sanctioned venue, institutional barriers forced us to go guerrilla-style—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If the world refuses to give us permission to be free, we will take it anyway.

When you see these photos above from Luana's IWD 2024 group nude shoot, reflect on the fact that every participant with a cross on their body is a sexual assault survivor. And let that sink in.
