An Unrestrained Exploration of Fetish, Film, and Freedom at LFFF's Fifth Anniversary Event
BDSM is a topic that tends to divide people. In a world where so many sensual and erotic experiences are either stigmatised or hidden, it can be hard to open up and celebrate fetishes and kinks without people drawing on their own assumptions. For our Sassy founder, Bethany, the hair fetish community has played a huge part in them becoming a confident and sensually explorative human being. By becoming closer to this world of fetish, they were introduced to a whole new array of language to explore their own kinks. Bethany explains how "My love of feet, of servitude, of positioning my body in ways that expose and play with power dynamics. My desire to punish and be punished. My fetish for skin and muscles, for people's voices and their use of language. I have slowly unraveled the never ending ways I can experience life erotically!" And so it's a joyful moment that we get to share news of London Fetish Film Festival (LFFF).
Bethany met up with the organisers, Amy and Venus, to learn more about how LFFF began and to get a bigger picture of what to expect on their big screen next month. You can listen to the interview above or head to YouTube to watch the full conversation. Be sure to come join the festival on13th, 14th and 15th of December at the Hen and Chicken's Theatre in Highbury and Islington.
Born out of a fetish for film and a kink for BDSM, London Fetish Film Festival (LFFF) is the intoxicating passion marriage of founder Venus Raven's cinema crush. Now about to unleash its fifth year of programming at Islington's Hen and Chicken's Theatre, LFFF is on the look out for all things paraphilia, paradoxical and pleasurable explored through the lense.
With a desire to bend censorship over the kitchen table, LFFF encourage freedom of expression, deconstruction of damaging BDSM myths and the unity of a widely intersectional LGBTQIA+ kink community. With the hope to reach a widening community and bring artistic cinema to screens around the world.
