What to expect

Our Sassy presenter Joanne of Art will be hosting a panel discussion and open conversation about accessibility. Working with the themes of ableism, mental health, hidden disabilties and representations, we welcome you to take part and listen to what leading professionals in the UK art and entertainment industry have to say.

Arrive from 8pm to catch singer and composer Agaama, performer and activist Purrsia Kitt and artist and shape-shifter Porscha Present in conversation on The Jago stage.

Drag Performance from Porscha Present

Porscha Present is a star in the world of cabaret, drag, music, and kinky parties. Describing themself as a shape-shifter, Porscha takes on different characters and narratives, playing with clown-like personas to push against socialised boundaries and address the ego. Tonight they are introducing us to their drag king alter ego, The Pussy Tamer! Expect to be washed in misogynistic sass!

Burlesque from artist Purrsia Kitt

Purrsia is one of those rare artists who bewitches audiences just by her presence. Powerful, provocative, composed and mesmerizing are just a few ways to describe the acts and essence she exudes both on and off stage. As the producer of ‘Fetlesque’ - a night showcasing exceptional talent on the UK burlesque and drag scene - Purrsia continually prioritizes the representation of her LGBTQ+ community. Fans of Aaliyah are in for a special treat!

Singer & beatmaker Nesta Stephan

Nesta Stephan's approach to creativity is all about independent accomplishment. Dipping her toes into a limitless amount of genres, Nesta's experimental style moves between neo-soul, RnB, and a crossover of electronic, ambient sounds. Nesta’s self produced EP is about to drop, and she’s showcasing those carefully crafted tracks for your ears only!

Rapper and activist Amy True

Amy True has been delivering a politicised fusion of hip hop, jazz and soul since the early 2000s. Her sound is a steady stream of rebellious rap delivered atop soulful melodic hooks; using lyrics to conscientiously provoke a shift in her audience's perspective. Dealing with contemporary issues while continually doing the shadow work of everyday life, Amy True has been described as “one of the most influential and talked about personalities in the Hip Hop, Soul and Jazz scene”. Are you ready?!

Spoken word and Song Joanne Of Art

Joana, aka Joanne Of Art, is a multi disciplined artist with a passion for telling poignant, socially informed stories. Her skills span music, songwriting, production, filmmaking, and visual art, leading her to walk down various paths of creativity. All the while, raising awareness of narratives that both educate and elevate. She is gracing us with sass inspired spoken word and song.

New Single Debut Zoe Fayaud

ZOÉ is a multilingual rapper who seamlessly switches between French, English and Spanish, over Latin inspired beats and Arabic percussions. Having spent years making music videos for other artists, Zoe’s transition from film into music has been a fruitful journey of building art that connects her with community and culture. She’s debuting her upcoming release Candela.
